A complete design file is helpful, but it is not always required at the beginning of a custom packaging project.
If a brand does not have blueprints, the most useful starting information is product size, approximate quantity, target market, reference photos, preferred materials, logo method and budget direction.
From there, a packaging factory can recommend box structures, insert options, finishing processes and sample routes. For example, a watch box may need stronger support and a precise pillow, while a jewellery display may need stable angles and a cleaner visual background.
The key is to make decisions step by step: confirm structure, confirm material, confirm logo and insert, then move to sample review before mass production.
